David P. Miller, Jr. MD, MS, FACP
Founder & CEO

Dave is a board-certified clinical informaticist and primary care physician who is passionate about leveraging technology to transform the way we deliver care. Prior to medical school, Dave studied economics and English at the College of William & Mary where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude with high honors.

He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honorary society and graduated with distinction. Dave completed residency training in internal medicine at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and served an additional year at Dartmouth as Chief Medical Resident and Instructor in Medicine before joining the Wake Forest University School of Medicine faculty.

He soon found himself frustrated by how little medical practice had embraced technology to improve healthcare quality and efficiency. This frustration started him on a 20-year path of developing, studying, and implementing digital health interventions to empower patients to play a greater role in their care.

The culmination of this journey was the development of mPATH™. Dave is a recognized pioneer in digital health who has received over $6 million in funding from the NIH, served on numerous NIH peer-review study sections, and presented his work at national and international conferences.

Outside the office, Dave enjoys any weekend warrior project that involves power tools, hiking the Appalachian Trail, and spending time with family.
